“Around the Campfire” Profile: Francisco José Tavira Sánchez

Who’s around our campfire? Each week we will profile a different TEDActive 2013 attendee and give you a peek into what they have to share around the fire in Palm Springs. This week, meet Francisco!

Where are you from?
Madrid, Spain

Where is your favorite place on earth?
The heart of my girlfriend, my family and my friends.

What interests you?
I love innovation, technology and I’m passionate about connecting people and energy attraction.

What problem are you trying to solve?
I am part of ThinKids Project, a non profit organization which wish is to prepare children to drive and build their own futures, under values like sustainability, equality, creativity, innovation and globalization.

I am part of a Biomedical Acoustics investigation team who try to create acoustical signals to replace drugs in order to avoid the chemical side effects and develop others.

What’s your favorite thing about TEDActive?
The energy you are able to feel, create and focus from thousands of people to a common purpose.

What’s your favorite TED Talk?
Ken Robinson says schools kill creativity

What piece of advice would you give to someone coming to TEDActive for the first time?
Enjoy every second, workshop, activity and try to meet every people as possible.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?
LOVE
