Profiles from “Around the Campfire”

The campfire holds great significance for TEDActive. There’s something about a campfire that brings people together, warms them up, then inevitably opens them up to share stories and ideas. This is exactly why the fire pit is a staple at TEDActive conferences. We bring this time honored ritual of bringing people around an open fire, which leads to sharing and bonding.

Who’s around our campfire?

We’re bringing a piece of the campfire online. The most important part of a campfire is the people around it – the fellow attendees who you’ll be connecting with at TEDActive. This series will profile some of the amazing individuals who will be going to TEDActive 2013. There’s such a diverse range of people from different backgrounds, industries, and perspectives — all selected to attend because of their contributions to their respective fields and demonstrated interest in taking action around ideas worth spreading. Over the months to come, we will be highlighting one attendee per week and give you a peek into what they have to share around the campfire.

If you are registered for TEDActive and would like to participate in this feature, please send an email with your photos and answers to the following questions to tedactive@ted.com. And, if you’re not yet registered, apply to attend here!
